quake is my selfship/yumeship thing with snake from metal gear solid. it is basically: “what if loneliness but there are two people and they still don’t fix it fully but they try anyway.”

it’s very “military tragedy but also they share coffee in silence at 3am in a broken safehouse”. like… it’s not happy. it just… exists warmly for a bit before everything gets worse again.

what this is

basically snake meets quinn during that weird in-between phase where he’s still human-ish but already halfway becoming “big boss the myth and tragedy”.

he’s tired. like deeply tired. not “i need sleep” tired but “war never lets me leave” tired. and somehow quinn is just… there. noticing it.

he doesn’t really know how to exist outside missions at this point. like:

“he’s not the legend in those moments. just a guy trying to breathe through it.”

how i see them

snake is protective in a “he doesn’t even notice he’s doing it” way. like instinct over thought.

quinn just kind of… becomes a person he doesn’t have to perform for. which is rare for him and kind of scary honestly.

and then he gets weirdly soft in ways he absolutely does not understand.

“he can survive warzones but not someone falling asleep on his shoulder apparently”

their dynamic (uh oh)

it’s like: warm hands vs cold metal. quiet rooms vs helicopter noise outside. bandaged injuries vs soft touching like it matters too much.

they don’t really talk a lot sometimes. it’s more like… existing near each other on purpose.

recurring brainrot scenes

themes i guess

snake is basically already being turned into “big boss” by everything around him. like the world is slowly filing down the parts of him that are still soft.

quinn is just there witnessing it happen in real time which is… not great emotionally.

it is sad. again.

sometimes it ends with separation. sometimes it ends with staying too long. sometimes it’s just “we had something for a while and that counted”.

“a home built out of borrowed time and bad decisions”

anyway yeah it’s mostly about trying to keep someone alive emotionally in a world that keeps taking that away.

aesthetic nonsense
